Anne Hathaway’s ‘bad’ boyfriend
Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend Raffaello Follieri will not face charges for writing a bad cheque. The Italian property developer was arrested in March for trying to pay a $250,000 bill to John Morrongiello with a bad cheque but has now reimbursed the amount. He has escaped prosecution because Morrongiello no longer wants to pursue the matter. This is not the first time Follieri has faced legal problems. Last year, he was sued for $55 million for allegedly using money from his company to spend on himself and the Devil Wears Prada star. Last month, he paid out $1.3 million to his former investment partner, billionaire Ron Burkle, to settle the claims. He was also recently ordered by a Washington court to pay a public relations firm $250,000 for work done on his behalf.

Toni Braxton delays stage return
Toni Braxton’s Las Vegas stage return has been delayed again after the singer cancelled a string of shows last month due to a prolonged illness. The RandB singer, who has a heart condition, was set to return to the stage on 6 May, but has put off headlining her Toni Braxton: Revealed show for at least another month, according to reports. The star scrapped shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas on 7 April after she was briefly hospitalised with chest pains. The 40-year-old is said to be desperate to get back to the show as her run at the Las Vegas venue is due to end in August. A representative for Grammy-winning Braxton refuses to comment on her medical condition.

Wedding bells for Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will wed on Saturday, according to the latest US reports. The pop couple was rumoured to be planning a ceremony for this Friday, but now US Weekly magazine claims Simpson will become Mrs Wentz on Saturday. The location, time and all other details are being kept a closely-guarded secret. A source close to the pair tells the publication, “Proper invites have not been sent out but guests have been given a save-the-date notice”. A rehearsal dinner, for “family and close friends only,” will take place on Friday. The couple announced its engagement in April and Simpson is rumoured to be pregnant with her fiance’s child.
